Nipbarnjarn cultural site survey

AS part of our control burning program rangers undertake fine scale burning around significant places including rock art and habitation sites. About 20 rangers participated in site surveys to check the condition and record rock art and artefacts. Sites were cleaned by removing debris and clearing grass fuel. Sites were documented using cameras and I trackers and then very deliberate fine scale burning was undertaken. Simultaneously ariel prescribed burning was completed with TO’s for that particular country navigating and assessing the work from the air.
